Every Athlete Deserves the Right Arena: Jack’s Story 🧢⚾️

When you drop your child off at practice, you're not just leaving them with a coach—you’re placing them inside another nervous system.

A team isn’t just a collection of players 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️—it’s a living, breathing emotional environment. At the center of it all? The coach. Their tone, body language, and ability to stay regulated sets the emotional climate that every athlete trains in.

Behind her Brilliance 🌟

🌸 She’s talented. She’s bright. She’s more than enough.

My niece Samantha is the kind of kid who does it all:
🏀 Basketball
🎭 Theatre
🎨 Art
🎤 Singing
🏃‍♀️ Track & volleyball
📚 Academically top-tier

She’s high-achieving in every way—and still, her mind races and she weathers an internal storm. While we see a girl who already shines, she often feels like she’s falling short of the impossible standards she’s set for herself.

She’s not broken—she’s just overwhelmed by the weight of caring so much. 💭💔

✨ Kids like Samantha don’t need more pressure—they need space to process.
✨ They need help separating who they are from what they do.
✨ And they need someone to remind them they are already enough.

💬 At Mind Rondo, I help high-performing kids like Samantha manage anxiety, perfectionism, and performance pressure so they can thrive—not just succeed.

Emotional Warrior-Caring Too Much⚔️

💥 “Confidence isn’t his issue. Caring too much is.” 💥

My son is a football, soccer, and lacrosse player. He has that quiet, inner confidence—the kind you can’t teach. But with that confidence comes something else: a deep, emotional investment in everything he does.

When he misses a play or doesn’t meet his own standard, the frustration can be overwhelming. It’s not about ego—it’s about heart. He cares deeply, and sometimes, that emotional weight is hard to carry.

🧠 As a mental performance coach and a mom, I’ve seen how even the most talented athletes need support regulating the emotional side of their game.

✅ We’re working on reframing mistakes.
✅ Breathing through the frustration.
✅ Leading himself before he leads others.

Because emotional regulation isn’t about shutting down—it’s about staying grounded when it matters most.

🎯 If you’ve got an athlete who cares so much it sometimes overwhelms them—I see you.

Field Hockey and My Unicorn Child🦄🏑

“With a stick in her hands, she becomes focused, grounded, and confident.”

My daughter Landen has ADHD and generalized anxiety. We’ve tried many activities—some helped, some didn’t. Soccer? Too chaotic. She couldn’t find her moment in the chaos. But field hockey? It gave her space to choose, time to engage, and confidence to show up.

Sports that use tools—like bats and sticks—stimulate both hemispheres of the brain. That connection helps kids with ADHD self-regulate and focus. For Landen, it’s been a game-changer.

She’s still finding her way, but every time she steps on the field, I see a stronger version of her.

🌱 If you’re supporting a young athlete navigating ADHD or anxiety, I’d love to help.
